اوراق الشجر والنسغ (حيث يحفرون ويقرضون الطبقة الداخليه للاشجار الى ان يصلو لطبقة النسغ ثم يتركونها لايام فتكون تجمعت طبقة لزجة سكرية لاكلها ) والاعشاب والرحيق والفواكهه والجوز والحشرات وبعض السحالى الصغيره ايضا

تتعدى من الصغير الى المتوسط قليلا
حيث يعتبر اصغر قرد بالعالم هو من احدى انواع قرود العالم الجديد ويعرف بالقرد القزم الامريكى Pygmy Marmoset لا يتعدى طوله 14-16 سانتيمتر وزنه من 120- 900 جرام فقط

يملك قرود العالم الجديد 3 طواحن اماميه على كل جانب بالفك الواحد اى المجموع الكلى 12 طاحن امامى

* قرود العالم القديم يملكون 2 من الطواحن الاماميه ما يجعلها مجموعا 8 طاحن امامى
وهم كالانسان بهذا



* منطقة الاذن :-
غشاء طبلة الاذن يتصل بالاذن الخارجيه بحلقه عظميه
*بينما قرود العالم القديم تتصل بواسطة انبوب عظمى


* استخدام الذيل كعضو خامس من اجزاء الجسم :--
قرود العالم الجديد بعض منها كقرود عائلة الاتيليدا ( العنكبوتيه والعنكبوتي ه القطنيه والقرود القطنيه وقرود المواء الامريكيه howler )
